Designersblock
The first in a series of events leading to the production of a Global Tote Bag. Hosted by designersblock, as part of the London Design Festival, September 21st-24th, 2006
Claystation have teamed up with world renowned bag and accessory brand Porter International to develop "My-Bag"
During this fun, interactive event, visitors were invited to draw their belongings on a card template of a bag.
This was the first of four linked interactive exhibitions: London, Milan, New York and Taipei.
The judge for the London exhibition was author and illustrator extraordinaire, Graham Rawle.
20 winners received a limited edition Porter International tote bag, while the overall winner will have their design printed on a specially designed reversible tote bag.
More Details:
Thanks to everyone who came along and took part. We had thousands of visitors, and over 500 bag designs submitted! Thanks to all the Claystation team for their help over the 5 days: Tom, Ik-Soo, Debbington, Holly, Stephen, Nicola, Costas, Gianda, Bianca, Constantinos, ZhenYuan, Sandra. And to our special guest, Graham Rawle for his patience and care with the judging process.
Andy Lin, Design Director of Porter International said: “We are very pleased to have Claystation work on this novel project with us. Our products have always had a big following with the design community; this is a fun way to include our consumers in the development of a new product, and also to learn something about how people's personal belongings differ around the world.”
